Wow., Just Wow! AMAZING TRIP.. I booked a helicopter flight to Milford for my Mum for her 70th birthday. Unfortunately the weather was bad so Heliworks helped her chose another day. The morning she was due to fly they upgraded her trip to an even better one - with a stopover on a glacier, then to a secluded beach on the West Coast (which she said was the highlight), then into Milford Sound. She said the whole trip was just AMAZING, and so memorable. The pilot was so friendly and knowledgable and she hasn't stopped talking about it , or showing us the fabulous photos .. thank you for giving my Mum such a fabulous experience .

This was the best decision we made on our Honeymoon! Maddy at the desk was an absolute gem to coordinate with. We signed up for the Friday and had cancellations due to the weather and not meeting the min required number of passengers on the tour over the next two days. Maddy was polite, helpful and could see that we were willing to make anything work just to have the experience in a Helicopter. She emailed the next day saying we were in luck with other passengers signing up and would fly the next day! That morning was perfect blue skies and Heli Tours went above and beyond by upgrading us to the longer Milford Sounds Extended Tour just so that we could get up there. We will never forget this experience and it was hands down the absolute highlight of our Honeymoon. Thank you to Maddy and our pilot for the most incredible day that we will remember for the rest of our lives!! Highly recommend supporting this local enterprise.

South Island robin on the Routeburn Track

This is a highlight and this trip simply fantastic! Is is a scenic flight from Queenstown over snowy mountains till the beautiful fjord of Milford Sound! The boat trip over the fjord is almost therapy and sets your mind at ease: very relaxing. All in all an impressive nature experience!

Loved the trip - expensive of course but totally worth it for the time saved and the fantastic views from the plane!! The flight was even better than the cruise! The crew from True South Flights was really friendly and professional. Fully recommend!

It's a really really long way from Queenstown to Milford Sound. But on the journey, we have a great view and a chance to get off and take photos on some sites. The buffet was good, but it's hard to eat for a long time because the seats are tight and the ship is leaving. Milford Sound can be different from expectations and you can be disappointed because it is usually rainy. Even if it rains, don't stay in the cabin. Watch the Great Milford Sound at Top Deck. Prepare a raincoat or waterproof jacket. I prepared a packable windshield jacket. And you should protect your cell phone and camera from rain and waterfall. !Don't miss this trip!

From the lovely bus driver to the knowledgeable guide and well looked after horses, this guided trail ride is one of the best I’ve experienced. The back drop of mountains, rivers and forests is best appreciated on a horse!

The High Country Horses, Rees River Trail was such a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, our trail guide was lovely and had a lot of knowledge of the surrounding area and the horses themselves. I would definitely suggest taking gloves and warm socks though, it was very cold on a horse in winter, especially when you're in the shade. There were warm socks at the stables that could be purchased if need be. Horses looked well looked after and had plenty of food and grass to graze.

A big thank you to Ray and his team for a great day; Te Anau to Milford, return. We were collected from our hotel in a modern 16 seater bus and received a informative and interesting commentary to and from Milford. Morning tea and packed lunch included and about 20 photo stops and short walks into the beautiful native bush including seeing several waterfalls. The 2 hour cruise on Milford Fiord/Sound was on a clean modern Cruise Milford NZ boat, again with an excellent commentary. This was a great day out (0800-1730ish) and we saw so much more than if we would have driven ourselves. Thank you Fiordland Tours?

An early start but well worth it! Our driver Oz was so great - really funny but also really informative. He knew everything there was to know about every point of interest during our 5 hour bus ride to Milford. The coach seats were comfy and we were able to stop for some great photo opportunities. The cruise itself was also great - lunch was yummy and the captain was also very informative. We were lucky to cruise on a lovely sunny day. Definitely would recommend Southern Discoveries!

Fantastic tour with a fantastic driver/guide. Stunning scener all the way. It may seem a bit expensive but it's worth it. If you're a LOTR fan, this is probably something you would like. Highly recommend this.

We had a fantastic afternoon on tour with Dan! Loved all the movie sites, scenery & information - not to mention a yummy afternoon tea with a good hot chocolate! We had way too much fun dressing up in costumes & using all the cool props Dan brought along!

This tour was really informative and there are some awesome breathtaking views along the way to glenorchy, paradise valley. Our driver guide was super amazing and helped us make the most out of the tour! Would recommend to anyone who wants to properly enjoy glenorchy, paradise valley while learning the rich heritage and history around it. Farm experience was good too. 5 star ?

Highly recommended! Being my second time to Glenorchy, first time drive by myself which is soooo difficult when I gets the off-road area. Absolutely wise to Use 4WD instead of normal car to go in there plus This truck / bus is so cool. Our driver is very nice, being informative so I can see many different things compare to the first time I went by myself. And lots of important photo spots! It also has Commentary on board which got different languages versions and it suits both me and my non-English speaking mother! This trip even has a nice warm afternoon tea provided :) Animal experience is the other reason I choose this trip, not too many trip do both Glenorchy and animal experience. I just love the animal experience there! All in all, very professional trip, highly recommended.! and we thank you MR U for that lovely afternoon with me and my mother!

Dave, you are amazing!!! A very knowledgeable, joker and a very kind tour guide. We request to drop by animal experience as we are the only family on the tour and wish granted!!! He makes sure that we enjoy and safe on our travel. Journey was so beautiful and i learn a lot on the places we went and about Glenorchy. Highly recommended!!!

Was way better than I expected! The tour was just smooth, relaxed, informative, and really fun! Our tour guide, Joe, wasn’t just cool and funny, he also has superb driving-while-talking skills. ;) I like that we didn’t just sit in the transport all day; we get to have fun walks, we get to really admire the view and have really nice photos all courtesy of Joe. I love that we went to a secret location and did a little picnic. He even allowed me to borrow some robes and cool swords so I can dress up as Arwen while having yummy snacks and enjoying the place. I’ll definitely come back and bring my family and friends so they can experience an amazing trip as well! Thanks Pure Glenorchy! Till next time :)

A Fantastic and awesome horse ride through magnificent and beautiful scenery, fabulous staff a must do!?

I booked this experience for my family of 4 as my 11yo daughter loves animals, with the expectation that she’d enjoy it and our 14yo son would think it was just ok. I was wrong! We all had so much fun and really enjoyed our visit and ended up staying for around 1.5 hours. The staff were really friendly, the views amazing and the animals so damn cute. Would definitely recommend a visit, especially with the discounted tickets via Bookme.

Our pilot flew us to through the alpines to a nice landing spot that was by a frozen lake. We descended into a blanket of freshly fallen snow and were able to take some of the most magnificent pictures. The view of the mountain range as well as the aerial scenic views of Glenorchy were breathtakingly beautiful. This experience was a definite highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!

Worth every cent! The heli pilot, Kurt, was very knowledgeable of the area and a great photographer as well! My mum even got a bit touched by the beauty up in the air. It’s thruly a one of a kind experience. Would recommend to anybody who is seeking for that stunning scenery of What Nz is known for.

Due to limited numbers, we were lucky enough to receive an upgrade to a longer flight. Our pilot was friendly and informative and told us all about the area up in the air. The ride was smooth and he took us over the mountains and right up against the ice from both sides so that everyone could get pictures. It was an amazing experience. Then we landed down in the valley and were given time to walk around and take pictures. Again the pilot was more than happy to take pictures for you. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it.
