Amazing flight a must do for aviation fans. I did this this for my 13th birthday the instructor was really friendly and cool, probably the best present ever!

A visit at Silverstream Alpacas was an absolute delight! Spending time with those adorable animals were incredibly enjoyable, and the experience was both informative and relaxing. Highly recommend visiting for a charming and memorable time!

I've never been to an alpaca farm, it was great experience and would definitely visit again. The farm owner, Kit, showed us around the farm as a farm tour guide. Kit was very friendly and pleasant to speak to. It was very educative to learn about alpacas and the background of the farm. Seeing and interacting with award-winning alpacas felt like a special experience, and surprisingly we weren't spitted by them at all! (yes, I was a bit scared in case that happened) After the tour we were allowed to stay in the farm with alpacas and feed them, baby alpacas were so cute and we were able to pet them a lot. We knocked on the door before leaving the farm, sorry we missed saying goodbye to you Kit, but we will definitely come back again. Thank you for the amazing experience! :)

This was such a lovely morning activity. Kit is very passionate and knowledgeable about his animals and easy to listen to. Our toddler absolutely loved her time here and Kit was very accommodating to her. Thank you!

We enjoyed the farm tour guided by Kit.. there are lots of lovely alpacas in his farm that you closely touch and feed. Kit also shared the history of his farm and the habits of alpaca. Amazing experience!

What a wonderful experience! I was a bit nervous that our 18 month old would be afraid because she hasn’t been around alot of larger animals but the gentle alpacas at Silverstream made her feel quite at ease and she really enjoyed patting and feeding them. Our guide was excellent and we learned so much about Alpacas and their wool. Would 100% recommend. Definitely hope to go back again!

My 2 boys aged 13 & 15 had lots of fun playing on the inflatable water playground. Staff were friendly & engaging. I bought a blanket & picnic, and watched to boys from the river bank. Great day out for us all. Highly recommend.

Went as a group of adults and had an awesome time. If you're fit i think its a bit easier and quicker to pull yourself around the obstacles and back out of the water but there are still lots of handles to help out. It would be great to do an adult only session.

The kids loved it. Next time I’d bring their wetsuits as it’s pretty cold. You do need to be able swim and it does require some upper body strength to pull yourself out of the water. The wobbly floating round obstacle was really fun! We could do the air pillow due to the wind which is fair enough. The staff were great and I felt in safe hands.

This was a really fun experience, highly recommend! The guides were so lovely and informative and you can see they really love and care for the horses! The trek is the perfect amount of time and the sights along the way are just absolutely tranquil, with the sounds of the birds and the waimak river - the water crossing was a highlight for sure! And I loved learning about each horses individual personality and backstory! Great for all levels and ages our group that we were booked with had children in it as well and they did so well on the horses and the horses did well too! Also there was a very cute dog and cat that were loving pats as well! I Recommend this hidden gem experience!

Very professional from the start to the end . Safety demo and lesson before hand very adequate . Amazingly informative host who just loves her horses and her job . Horses really well cared for and great riding gear . Would 100 % recommend this trek and I’ve tried many horse trekking centres .

The scenery itself was pretty average along or two hour ride. It's great if you've not been riding much. However the girls at the stables were friendly and chatty. The horses were well looked after and we had a good time. Great match of rider experience and horse

The staff made our family of five beginner riders feel safe and relaxed during our ride, right from the moment we stepped onto the property. They were knowledgeable and chatty, and gave us lots of information as we rode. The stars of the show were the horses. They were beautiful and gentle, and put everyone in the family at ease. What a fantastic experience we had, all beginner riders and spent two hours riding comfortably by the beautiful waimakare river. Nina, our guide was brilliant, she had made each of us feel comfortable with our horses and gave a great introduction to the nature of the horse,how to sit in the saddle safely, how to use the reins and how to enjoy the ride. She had exceptional knowledge on the history of each horse as they were rescue horses from the racing industry. I thoroughly recommend everyone should experience this adventure. Not to be missed

We got instructed very well on the behaviour of the horses and what to do and not to do. It was a very nice scenic route that they took us on. Will recommend to do it ♡

We booked for 4 of us. When we arrived we had 4 lovely, well looked after horses waiting for us. Each of our horses was characterful, easy to ride and clearly living a great life with these guys. The trek was challenging enough for me as a beginner. The horses are very easy to trust and very forgiving of newbies. We went for the 2hr and it was the perfect length. The instructions were clear and simple. Highly, highly recommended.

A friend and I did the 2 hour trek. Our guides were so lovely. The safety briefing was the best I have seen on a trek (have done a couple) The horses were beautiful and trekking through the bush near the river was amazing. Recommend to anyone! Support local 😊

My daughter and aunty loved the ride and the highlight of riding near the river. This was accompanied by great service and commentary. The horses are mainly rescue horses which was a bonus. We will definitely go again

My guide Zsofie was super professional and friendly! I was a total beginner so I had to bug her from the very beginning and she was so patient with me, explained all the rules in a very easy way for me to understand. My horse was Nemo and he was such a good boy. The weather was amazing too and the river was beautiful, I am actually really interested in horseback riding now after this, definitely would recommend to anyone visiting or already in Christchurch to experience this with these guys and I will defo. come back!

It was my beginner riding a horse and I felt very happy on it. If I have the opportunity to ride again I would like to and I am happy to recommend people whose plan to try to ride a horse just come over to this place you will be happy and have fun.

Nice weather and awesome guide! First time to try horse trek. A little bit scary in the beginning but then start to become relaxed cos the horse can feel my emotions. Will come back again. Only 15 minutes drive away from my house. Easy to access!
