Really enjoyed the trip being a local person lots of information very interesting view of the rebuild. Advise going to the top level of the bus for better photos and views. Great experience for both locals and visitors ?

Truly a amazing experience, the driver was very professional and knowledgeable, it certainly gave us a better prospective of the damage the earthquake caused to this beautiful city.we would certainly recommend this tour to everybody.

Nice way to tour around, been to the city and Red Zone in a day. Worth the time and money.

Fabulous tour and excellent driver and informative tour quide (Ross). I live in christchurch and took niece (11) who was staying with me from nelson. We both thought it great fun. Having people coming from Australia and this will definate be on list of things to do.

Lovely time

We had a lovely look around Christchurch with a couple of our Grandchildren from the open topped double decker bus. The commentary was excellent and informative, and the littlies thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was very informative,we enjoyed it,But was very uncomfortable ride,Probably you cannot help it as its an old bus.

Had a group of 7 aged from 16 to 89 and everyone enjoyed the day. Commentary was great and changed around to suit as we went around twice. Thanks to our driver Kris for an awesome day

It's been several year's since I did this trip..Well worth it..I personally find it best to stay on for the hour tour..then hop on and off second time around..then get picked back up hour or two later.if getting off at Ricarton Shopping Mall..also easy to get off at Cathedral Square and walk down to regent street shops..if you have time the New Library is well worth a look..I spent a few hours in there last year with son..very big and very interesting and interactive..also has cafe and wc facilities. .enjoy. .M

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip on the double decker, brought back fond memories of life in the UK. The guides were nice and knowledgeable. We were disappointed the double decker was not available for the second part of our day travelling to Sumner. Over all a good experience.

If you want go for BBQ then you must buy the ticket!!!so worth! BBQ was so nice also the staffs are really friendly!highly recommend it!

Had a lovely time at Ye-Chon Korean BBQ last night, it was my friend’s first time trying Korean Food and she was really happy with our service and the food! 😊 Would definitely recommend eating here if you have been thinking about it

Once again our visit was faultless. Food is amazing, service and such friendly staff.

I booked online with booked for 3 ppl and paid $3 at the time of booking to qualify for 40% off eac. Food was great. First time to experience this. My 17 yr old and 10 yr old absolutely loved their food. Atmosphere was nice and water chilled, extra bonus. Service 9/10. A smile will always make the difference for me. Thank you we will definitely eat here again.

Great dining experience. Staff are very accommodating and helpful. Food were served quickly. Compare to last time, food are so much better than before. Not to sweet and not too spicy. My partner enjoyed the Korean food.

Awesome BBQ (fresh beef tenderloin & pork belly), great iservice. The side dishes - fried chicken, bibimbap, fried squid and seaweed glass noodles were also very nice. Overall, thumbs up for another ovely dinner experience.

The service was top rate, the food absolutely Devine. Carlton Bar & Eatery cannot be faulted. We will be back for sure.

We just had to try the Butchers Board to share and were glad we did. Of all the meat on the board, the short ribs were the most tender and flavourful. Surprisingly however, the most rare beef was also the least tender and quite chewy. Overall everything on the board was tasty and enjoyable. The dessert was a letdown however. The white chocolate torte was dry with icing that was quite gritty in texture and had no real flavour. The white chocolate bark and truffle that came with the torte were nice but this would not be a dessert I would recommend. Service was excellent so for that reason I gave an extra star and wouldn’t hesitate to come back to The Carlton to try some other dishes.

Had a great time! Service was A++. Need to either stock Fanta or L&P for the kids please. Steaks were delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Warm welcome by staff, dining area was comfortable. The menu has a great selection of food, came here with my family for an early birthday dinner. Everyone found the food yummy, I loved my Wakanui steak 😊

It was enjoyable 2 hr bus from Christchurch to Akaroa, and the driver gave us some lessons about the city which is really helpful. The best highlight of the bus route is the lookout and the small river town stops. I am sure that you will have enjoyable trip in Akaroa after this.
