Very glad we did this tour. The view was just amazing. We were lucky to have a beautiful weather with perfect condition. The pilot was very funny and friendly. We took a million of pictures. 30min is enough time to see everything you have to see.
Totally awesome experience, pilot had lots of local knowledge. Beautiful scenery that you can only see from the air. An experience you will never forget.
What an experience of a lifetime from checking in to the free fall it was all one smooth transition ✨️ my instructor Rob? was informative throughout the whole process, settled the nerves and made for an enjoyable jump 👊 shoutout to the camera 📷 man for capturing some great shots 👏
I was bit nervous and scared about the jump given I’m afraid of heights. The staff were really supportive and explained everything. The owner even had a chat must of see I was nervous he has done around 17000 jumps in his time (wicked)! Dan the tandem guy was awesome we even did some flips and tricks. All the staff make you feel at ease. Such an awesome experience really, nothing like it. I upgraded to the 16500ft jump, if you’re going up you might as well do the highest jump it was well worth the extra cash. #skydiveabeltasman
Unreal experience in a stunning location! Amazing team at Skydive Abel Tasman. Super safe, super accommodating and super fun! Stacey at reception was an absolute legend. My instructor "Scruffy" from Zimbabwe was awesome and showed me all the sites on the parachute down. Highly recommend it. Get out and do it!
From getting checked in to jumping out ... I felt like I was in great hands. We had to switch my jump from 16.5k ot 13k - fine by me. It was my first jump and I am terrified of heights. My goal was to do it and overcome my fear, but to do that I needed to trust the team. And that I did. They were patient, attentive, fun, and helped me keep a level head ... until the door opened ... I am still thinking back to the drop and and man ... it was surreal but fantastic. So grateful to everyone there and to a once in a life experience. Thanks Y'all!
A very professional and friendly team made our first parachute jump a fantastic experience. 13000ft hooked up safely with my experienced "buddy"and instructor they told me exactly what to expect. It was fabulous and I never felt anxious.
First time Skydiving, Phucken amazing. Loved every moment, was on a super high and feeling pumped as, had loads of energy from start 2 finish, was super xcited 2 be "JUMPING". BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER from mai KIDZ xxxx !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HOORAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What an amazing day! Staff of Skydive Abel Tasman we're all so nice and professional :) I was so nervous at first but it all went away when I met the staff as they ensure you that you're in good hands! The views were absolutely breathtaking. The photo and video package was well worth every penny. Would love to jump with them again! Thank you!
I jumped today with Hamish! Absolutely amazing experience!
amazing experience, thanks to the staff
Probably one of the cheapest skydive packages in New Zealand. Video and photos were well taken. Thanks to the crews again! Thumbs up and I'm glad to tick it off my bucket list!
Flying in an other country is challenging in more than one way. Brianna brought me a perfect view of the Golden Bay.
Highly recommended to go and see the best of the best around the top of the South Island with Karin and her Tasman Tours. Clean and comfortable van/mini bus. Very gentle rides. Well explained local history and geography. The cafe in Takaka that Karin recommended offers the best bakeries/pies that you can't normally find in busy cities. Light to medium exercise level (only a couple of 20 minute walks). Overall, it was an unforgettable tour. I'll definitely recommend my friends and colleagues to join Karin's tours. Thanks Karin for making my Nelson trip much much better than I expected. Ta.
I had a great time on the tour yesterday. Totaranui beach wasn’t as amazing as it’s hyped up to be but still a beautiful beach. Karin is so knowledgeable about nz history, fauna and flora. Takaka was a great lunch stop, lots of nice shops and a Saturday market, great food places. The springs at the end were wonderful.
I did the trip with my parents coming from China to visit me, it was very nice. The view is stunning and the route is very friendly to everyone. Our guide Michael is amazing, really enjoyed the day
Perfect way to explore Abel Tasman by foot and boat! Went during the off season and it was beautiful and the boat had more than enough room for the passengers!
My group did the kayak tour in the morning then went to anchorage in the afternoon. This was great, as the water was calm and after a mini hike to peak hill I got to chill on the beach in the afternoon. I was traveling solo, so I shared a kayak with the tour guide Alex, he was super friendly, very knowledgeable of the surrounding area and took over the paddling when I just wanted to be lazy. If you’re staying in nelson they offer free pick up and drop off coach to your accommodation which was also a deciding factor when I was booking the tour. The driver was SUPER friendly and again made me feel comfortable as a solo traveller. I would definitely recommend.
The weather had packed up a couple of days ago which made the paths and treks muddier than usual. However that hadn't made the slightest impact on having a great walk! The Falls River Swing Bridge could only bear 5 people on it at a time and had a very graphic warning sign. It took us 4.5 hours with very leisurely/ steady pace, including lots of photo stops, lunch break and a detour to visit Cleopatra's Pool. Turned out to the be most refreshing detour with crisp, crystal clear water washing your wariness/ tiredness away towards to the end of the walk!
Was a long cruise dropping different groups all along the coast we got back to Tonga quarry at 12pm. Was a 90min walk through the high tide track, nice forest walk to bark bay then 10min to Nedlands beach for pick up at 3 back at base at 4.
Amazing trip. If you only have one day to experience the Abel Tasman NP, this trip is for you. The walk was fairly easy with few uphill. If you are fit, you can finish it in an hour and have plenty of time on the beach. The Bark Bay was beautiful and not as busy as Totatranui. There was a waterfall too. Staff were lovely as well.
A great way to see Abel Tasman Park and surrounds. Murray, our driver/guide, was very helpful and informative. The short walk was very good for people like myself who don't do long tramps. The forest was invigorating and there was a waterfall and beautiful beach at the end. There was plenty of time to enjoy Barks Bay before walking to the next bay for pickup.
An exceptional experience from start to finish, our guide Ella was friendly & professional, she was safety conscious throughout and gave clear instructions on how to use the equipment which didn't take anything away from having a fun day on the water. The weather undoubtedly played its part & some stunning photos were captured.
I did kayak 2 days ago and it's awesome. It was winter season so only me and my friend did that half day kayak tour. Was kind if private tour! :) Sam and Sarah was our team guides and they were so nice! Always look after us and friendly explain the sites where we drop and sea ;) Definitely recommend it. It's safe to do in off season! We did not get in water. it's safe! :)
The cruise, the walk, especially relaxing on the beach, everything was great and enjoyable
Such a fun afternoon, our guide was amazing. Really great value experience.
Even thought the weather wasn’t great (high winds on the coast) and we couldn’t do the entire journey to the north of the National park, it was still a nice journey on the modern boat. The staff helped explain everything really well and the commentary was good. The walks are very well signposted and not too demanding. We decided on the tour up to Tonga Quarry beach with the walk down to Medlands Beach. They allow ample time for you to walk between the drop off and pickup points (maybe a little too long if you don’t plan on having a dip). This route takes you high up into the forest following the sea along on your left. After a decent incline you begin to descend down into Bark Bay around 35mins after you begin the walk. Bark Bay is absolutely gorgeous with its water falls and swing bridge along the high tide path. You will also find basic toilets at the beginning and end of this route. It’s a good day out that we would highly recommend to anybody with the interest of walking a section of Abel Tasman without feeling rushed.
The Wilsons trips to able tasman are well organized and show the beauty of the able tasman NP. If you only here for one day it is the perfect option to get a glimps of the nature and what the np has to offer. In case you are really interessted in the local stories sitting inside might be required, as it is difficult to understand whats spoken on the upper deck (like on many boat tours). I made a tour including a bit of walking and they made sure all people are off at the right place.
Absolutely brilliant day. we had one in our group who had never Kayaked before our leader was great and gave simple instructions . would go with them again! The boat trip from pick up to drop off was ace as well!!
We absolutely loved this trip - it was a great deal and brilliant way to squeeze nearly a full day in the middle of the park in only 1 day by boating in and out. The details on the deal / website were a bit light when I booked so I was surprised to find it was more like a 9am - 4pm trip. Luckily we had extra time so it was fine. And well worth it. You board the boat in Kaiteriteri (either a launch or a small taxi depending on number of people - we had the small taxi which some didn't enjoy, and had no toilet), but it was a great calm day and the crew are just as professional and informative giving the same tour and commentary on the way. They will stop by a few sights on the way up to drop you at Medlands beach, 10mins walk to Bark Bay. You then walk the middle part of the track down to a pickup at Anchorage. There is plenty of spare time for stops on the way. You can arrange them to provide a lunch box for you or a pickup in Motueka, but I can't comment on these as we didn't use them. We'd definitely recommend this tour to get into the middle of the park if you only have a short time in the area.
We were fortunate enough to see a pod of dolphins and fur seals.
The cruise stop at few points and allow us to see the view of Abel Tasman, and we have sufficient time for the track. Just the weather is a bit cold outside of cruise, have to wear more warm clothes. However, inside the cafe is warm and comfortable, light foods and drinks were provided at reasonable price.
