First, I want to thank the pilots, especially henry for his kindness to our boy and his great handling of the plane. #butterlanding The trip on the modern and luxurious cruise ship was also unforgettable and the views beautiful.
We were unsure whether to drive to Milford or spend the money to fly & I'm so glad we chose the latter. The welcome & subtle weigh in was great, staff were all very friendly. The only thing needed before take off was possibly a 2nd toilet...took a while to queue for the facilities! The flight itself was amazing. We had a beautiful day for it, sunshine & clear skies. Our pilot, Karl was awesome pointing out the sights during the 40 min flight over the mountains & lakes. If anyone is thinking of doing this then please do...its an experience you wont forget!!
Amazing trip i have the best experience amazing views and great customer service the drive knew a lot about the best places to take pictures definitely recommend it 100%
We had alot of fun during the tour! The commentary was very insightful, scenery is stunning and the short teabreak at Glenorchy was very delicious. Thumbs up to Pure Glenorchy!
Dave, you are amazing!!! A very knowledgeable, joker and a very kind tour guide. We request to drop by animal experience as we are the only family on the tour and wish granted!!! He makes sure that we enjoy and safe on our travel. Journey was so beautiful and i learn a lot on the places we went and about Glenorchy. Highly recommended!!!
Best garden!
Definitely made my trip to NZ worth while. I’ve never experienced a garden like it, thousands of flowers & amazing wildlife amongst man made creations. And the house tour was definitely worth it. Great customer service. Tried to add more photos we took of flowers but could only add 2 pics
We thought we were just going to look at a garden. BUT NO...this was a total mind blowing experience. We were greeted Christine and showed thru their totally unique lodge her husband has worked his artistic woodsmanship talent totally thru out the home. From the fish tank used as the water tank in the toilet to all the crafted wood. The breath-taking view from the kitchen window of the lake.We were shown the 2 Air B&B suites. Then outside to the garden. There was so much to see,it was hard to know which way to look. The gardens just amazing with sculptures doing yoga poses and placed throughout the garden giving the eye something to focus on. The ducks and birds and peacocks calling gave the atmosphere. There was a tree top curved staircase to climb which was amazing to view the property and views over lake Wakitipu. Finally we had the experience of feeding the birds, ducks and peacocks. The peacocks came so close to us and it felt almost intimate watching them put on a show with their feathers all out and their tails wiggling. You could feel the breeze as they turned around. This review I'm doing isn't doing Paradise Dream Garden any justice. It's an unforgettable experience and I totally recommend it to everyone.
I went with my partner and we loved it. Absolutely beautiful. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Queenstown who likes gardens. Very Insta-worthy.
Filled with artistic flair this unique lakeside Garden is so unexpected in this alpine environment. Truly, you will see surprising works of art created from organic materials and ingenious adaptions for normal household utilities like the bath.
Such a stunning place. The owner greeted us and gave us a tour and we were wowed by the creativity. Definitely recommend you visit for an amazing experience!
It’s a very beautiful garden, must see in Queenstown.
This is truly a little paradise! The views are breathtaking... everywhere you look there are flowers, lush gardens and sculptures (made by the owner), with the mountains as a backdrop. It is peaceful and relaxing... and an inspirational place especially for artists. I also got a tour of the house, which is just amazing - with beautiful furniture and decorations made by the owner out of recycled wood. I am so glad I decided to visit!
Felt very privileged to have the opportunity to experience this. Fantastic weather with spectacular scenery. True South pilot Jason was informative friendly and accommodating.beautiful spot to visit in NZ
Loved the lake cruise and the optional farm tour was excellent, don't skip this optional add on which even includes lunch
Very good My Mum and Dad really enjoy
Awesome Experience 😊
We took a ride at 11 in the morning, the weather was great it was sunny. The captain was very accommodating & friendly also the two staff down in the bar was friendly too. It was a satisfying trip together with the picturesque view. ???????
We booked this experience not expecting much, just a way to spend NYE afternoon before the festivities started. My first wow moment was when I saw the size of the boat we were on, then the size of the cheese platter amazed me , the pricing for all drinks were discounted from their menu to accommodate kiwis and the selection of wines were great! Locally produced wines from the best wineries for under $10 a glass!! The staff were amazing, went out of their way to be friendly, chat with you and tell you the history of the areas you see when on this trip. I highly recommend everyone to give this experience a go - you will not be disappointed!
Very relaxing and informative
Our driver Sonya was amazing! From a great sense of humour to an A++ bus driver, our experience on the coach tour was enjoyable. Facts and delivery were on point and I couldn't recommend it more. Buffet food and service onboard the cruise was amazing too. Food was delicious and the views were phenomenal. All in all, would highly recommend this on the list of things to do while in the South Island. Worth the money for sure!
Our driver Johnny was easy to converse with. I sat up front & enjoyed the views during our drive to Milford Sound & back. There were only five of us, plus Johnny, so it was easy getting on/off during our various photo stops. Enjoyed the Cruise I went on with Real Journeys. It rained just a bit, but enough to bring out a few additional falls during the two hours we were out. I had been doing a lot of driving around NZ in the days preceding, so was happy to book a tour that included transport from Te Anau. :)
Great tour nice staff nice food !
There's just no other trip like this in New Zealand. Absolutely breathtaking! Note that it's quite a long day of travelling and you will be tired by the end of it all. Hats off to our bus driver, Richard. You're a great host and driver. Keep it up!
A big thank you to Ray and his team for a great day; Te Anau to Milford, return. We were collected from our hotel in a modern 16 seater bus and received a informative and interesting commentary to and from Milford. Morning tea and packed lunch included and about 20 photo stops and short walks into the beautiful native bush including seeing several waterfalls. The 2 hour cruise on Milford Fiord/Sound was on a clean modern Cruise Milford NZ boat, again with an excellent commentary. This was a great day out (0800-1730ish) and we saw so much more than if we would have driven ourselves. Thank you Fiordland Tours?
Southern discoveries to Milford was a great company to tour with. From the helpful phone conversation as to where we could be collected to the very informative and a helpful bus driver. The coach was very comfortable and the stops along the way for coffee and points of interest were well spaced and with adequate time allowed to enjoy all. The boat trip on the Sound was great , staff very helpful and the food was delicious.
We always book with Jucy. Very dependable. The o my suggestion we have is to bypass TeAnau Downs. The other tours buses pass it for a reason … we’d rather have the extra time at Mirror Lake. Most of the boat crew was so helpful and friendly, the lunch was satisfying also. Great job!
From when Marcus picked us up he was informative and we had a fantastic day and he stopped often for photo opportunities and made sure everyone was comfortable. I would recommend this company and tour. Even the weather gods played the part
Awesome day and great day to see and experience the beauty of this part of Aotearoa. Our bus driver Ngaire was very knowledgeable and I learnt so much. Thank you!
We had a fabulous time. Amazing views and a great enthusiastic guide. Would highly recommend. We enjoyed the beer too.
We had a great time. Staff were very helpful & welcoming in every way. Great commentary on the cruise & gorgeous scenery even though it was a cloudy day. Highly recommended
Good driver
My partner and I took the 3:30pm cruise on the Spirit of Queenstown yesterday, it was an awesome way to spend a few hours enjoying the scenery from a different perspective, I highly recommend this relaxing cruise if you have the time!! Thank you to the team at Real Journeys ??
A lovely experience with the best visuals of the Lake & peaks. The crew were all very welcoming and helpful with great factual commentary provided about the areas shown. I would definitely recommend this trip.
Was an amazing experience! Our guide, Brad, drove safely and all the times very well mood making the trip excellent as well. I was afraid to not enjoy because the weather was too rainy, but Brad made sure, that will be better. And was true. Waterfalls full of beauty. Comfortable coach, modern and easy translator. The Wi-Fi worked just in the beginning, some minutes after, no signal. The boat was nice, powerful and silent. The lunch was the only part I am not totally satisfy. Medium buffet. The advertising showed much more. The food was ok. Don't worth it. Was difficult to listen The Capitan as well. All staff deserves my congrats. They are friendly and easy to communicate. I recommend the company. Want Next time 100% sure.
It's a really really long way from Queenstown to Milford Sound. But on the journey, we have a great view and a chance to get off and take photos on some sites. The buffet was good, but it's hard to eat for a long time because the seats are tight and the ship is leaving. Milford Sound can be different from expectations and you can be disappointed because it is usually rainy. Even if it rains, don't stay in the cabin. Watch the Great Milford Sound at Top Deck. Prepare a raincoat or waterproof jacket. I prepared a packable windshield jacket. And you should protect your cell phone and camera from rain and waterfall. !Don't miss this trip!
I can not recommend this experience enough. It was absolutely awesome. We were on the bus ‘AWESOME’ and Paul the driver was so entertaining giving us a lot of history and interesting detail about the native birds, environment, area and all given in a way that was definitely not not boring
