The Milford Sounds cruise is a must do! The scenery is absolutely stunning. The Mitre Peak crew were so friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Good experience, well worth the money

The smaller coach was perfect for someone who doesn't like having large crowds around them. Our driver was a brilliant local from Te Anau and made it feel more like a tiki tour than a boring guided tour. Highly recommend it.

Was a great experience despite the rain. We got to see the seals, penguins (bonus) and a pod of dolphins in the distance. There was self service hot tea and coffee onboard which was a great comfort from the cold outside. Went up close to the waterfalls. The only issue was the free car park which was about 20+mins walk away so was not fun to walk in the rain but would be cool on a fine day. Would still recommend, the cruise itself was a lot of fun and quite educational. Loved it!

It's a really really long way from Queenstown to Milford Sound. But on the journey, we have a great view and a chance to get off and take photos on some sites. The buffet was good, but it's hard to eat for a long time because the seats are tight and the ship is leaving. Milford Sound can be different from expectations and you can be disappointed because it is usually rainy. Even if it rains, don't stay in the cabin. Watch the Great Milford Sound at Top Deck. Prepare a raincoat or waterproof jacket. I prepared a packable windshield jacket. And you should protect your cell phone and camera from rain and waterfall. !Don't miss this trip!

Our coach driver was lovely and we learnt so many interesting facts about Fiordland. The cruise around Milford Sound was amazing! Would highly recommend going on this trip with Southern Discoveries.

What a wonderful experience. This is a must do if you’re in Milford Sounds. You will not regret it, especially on this swanky boat. The views are breathtaking and it was a wonderfully unforgettable experience. The crew were friendly and very informative. We felt very safe in the skippers hands. We are so happy that we went with the Juicy cruise, it was without a doubt the highlight of our South Island trip. We would highly recommend booking it with bookme, as it was great value and worth every cent! Fabulous!

Our group of 3 adults and 3 kids did this on a cool sunny winters day. The captain was very knowledgeable and told us all about the history of the places we visited. So many stunning photo ops. This was the highlight of our south island trip.

I don't want to repeat what so many others have said, but simply a must do trip if you come to the Queenstown area. The flights up and back were actually the highlight (for me anyway) as you see so many mountain peaks and glacial lakes. The cruise up Milford sound was also fantastic and good to see that they adapt it based on conditions etc.

My wife and I recently had a very enjoyable trip from Te Anau to Milford Sounds. Our tour guide, Ray, has a wealth of knowledge about this region. We had frequent photo stops and visits to waterfalls and other places of interest. The scons at morning tea were a treat! We had a great and enjoyable day. By driving to Milford Sounds ourselves we would have missed out a lot. This company can be highly recommended - a must do for anyone wanting to experience a Milfords Sounds road and boat trip.

We loved every minute of this tour. The driver was upbeat and looked after everyone well, regaling us with interesting stories and facts on the way. We had several stops to get out and take photos and also managed to do a magical bush walk. The trip felt unhurried, safe (excellent driver) and we were well looked after. Lunch was a delicious packed picnic. Boat ride was fun and informative. I have great photos as mementos. Would definitely recommend this tour.

I recently took the Milford Sound Cruise operated by Mitre Peak Cruises, and I must say that it was a breathtaking experience. The fjord, waterfalls, and wildlife in the area were nothing short of spectacular. The staff on board the vessel were knowledgeable and friendly, and the captain provided insightful commentary throughout the cruise, making the experience all the more enjoyable. The vessel was quite bumpy it might be due to the weather. Additionally, I found the price of the cruise to be quite expensive compared to other activities in the area. Nevertheless, Mitre Peak Cruises offer a cheaper price among all the operator. Overall, I would highly recommend the Milford Sound Cruise operated by Mitre Peak Cruises for anyone looking to experience the natural beauty of Milford Sound. Despite some minor drawbacks, I would rate my experience 4 stars out of 5.

Absolutely magical is Milford Sound. Mighty Mitre Peak, Rainbow Falls, Seals, Tasman Ocean are just a few of the wonderful sights you will see on this 2 hours boat cruise. Wasn’t expecting any food but also got a yummy bacon buddie and juice. Absolutely worth every cent and a trip you will never forget

This trip far exceeded my expectations. I was concerned about the long drive in the coach but our awesome tour guide Luke made it a very enjoyable journey. The coach with huge windows and a glass roof provided amazing views of the scenery and the frequent stops meant the drive felt much shorter. The sounds themselves were spectacular!

Stunning scenery at Milford Sound on board the clean and beautiful Go Orange ferry. The coach driver Grant gave a funny and interesting commentary on our way to the boat station from Queenstown. Highly recommended!

Very personalised tour by the captain (Mitre Peak) giving great view and narrative of each landmark. We had a breath taking experience of the trip! It was well worth doing it! Best cruise ever. As a side note the captain and his crew also dropped us at parking location when the shuttle driver ditched our group. That's service beyond self!

Great tour nice staff nice food !

This is hands down the BEST cruise of Milford Sound. Takes you all the way out, further than the other boats and is the most affordable. Trip is 2hrs long but goes by so fast when enjoying the views. Coffee and Tea provided so that was a bonus and the top deck has a nice little sheltered part to sit in if you want to be up there when it’s windy. We got super close to the waterfall, it was an amazing experience!!! Captain and staff spoke a lot about the area and about some surrounding areas and gave a lot of facts. This was an amazing journey and I am glad to have done my first tour of Milford Sound with Mitre Peak Cruises. I HIGHLY recommend this company if you’re planning on taking a trip to Milford Sound.

Love love loved this cruise! It’s not something that we would normally do but glad we made the travel. The captain was well informed of our surrounding and the history of the locations. Saw some penguins and seals which was amazing! 10/10 would do again and the team are super friendly! Thanks for making our break away from our busy jobs that much better mitre peak cruises!

3 hours bus ride from Queenstown but the driver was very good, lively explanation of what we see on the way, stopping here and there for photos, drinking fresh mountain river water. The lake cruise stunning. Picnic basic but nice. Can definitely recommend this tour!

We went by coach from Te Anau to Milford Sound. We were lucky to get the best driver, full of stories about the area, flora and fauna, kind, caring, stopping often at the most beautiful sights so we can take photos and videos. The boat trip was amazing. We saw little penguins and lots of seals. The captain tried to get as close as he could so we can all see the wildlife and amazingly beautiful landscapes and waterfalls. We even went under the waterfall. In the way back, we stopped at the 10 metre undersea platform where we could enjoy the natural aquarium, plenty of fish...we also saw a small shark. Great experience, would recommend it!
