An amazing experience that I would highly recommend. The crew were very welcoming and friendly, highly educated and answered many questions. Saw both dolphins and whales on the trip and was blown away by the scenery. You get a once in a lifetime experience which is completely worth the money!
I love dolphins while am not willing to visit them in the aquarium. It was fantastic to meet them in such a natural way. It was the first time I saw dolphins. They were truly active and social, comparing to whales. I took some awesome photos of them and can’t wait to share.
We had a wonderful time. We managed to see dolphins. It was a fantastic experience for us. The beautiful sunset was a bonus.
The ride is awesome. Crew members are so nice and entertaining. It’s good one day trip.
Such a fantastic day out on the harbour for the whole family. We took the kids (11 and 13) and although the 11 year old got a bit crook it was still such a fantastic day. We were blessed to find a pod of several hundred dolphins who hung around the boat for about an hour jumping out of the water and spinning around jumping over back and forth. We sped up and they sped up. We slowed down and they slowed down. It was such an amazing experience! The captains were fantastic and invited my 13 year old to sit in the captains seat for about an hour on the way back which was an opportunity of a lifetime for him and something he will never forget. Thanks guys! All staff were friendly and amazing and so helpful and knowledgeable. We all learned a lot from the commentary and we will definitely come on another trip! So grateful to have such an amazing marine ecosystem right in our own backyard in Auckland and grateful for an amazing company to show us ❤️
And be prepared to just relax. Even with COVID-19 Alert Level 2 restrictions, we had a great day out travelling on the Kawau Island Ferry doing the Royal Mail Run Return Cruise. Sitting on the top deck, chatting to strangers, listening to the short, but informative skipper explaining the highlights of the tour was just right for us. Based upon my previous trips (more than 25 years ago), I knew to pack plenty of snacks, drinks and sunscreen. We boarded the Ferry at 1030h and stayed on board until almost 1300h at Mansion House. As we had other obligations that afternoon, we could only stay until the 1400h return sailing so opted for the Mansion House Tour. Had we taken the later 1630h ferry back, we would have also done one of the recommended hikes around the island.
It was a wonderful day. Very friendly staff and the weather was fantastic. Great Would highly recommend.
Loved the experience. It was an enjoyable journey and the ferry was not too crowded too. Food and beverage available upon request. The island was overwhelmed in solitude and serenity. The cooing of various birds freckled the daylight air. The beaches were good. But ladies bay was impeccably awesome. Treading there thru a narrow cleft in the rocks was challenging but the destination was great . Can't stay there much becuse the tide picks up and gettin back on to the cleft to exit would eventually be a swim. So dip in early and dry out quick. Cafe was good and staff was friendly. Mansion was open to viewing between 12 and 3 pm. The old copper mine is an hours walk from the ferry terminal but definately worth it. Looks majestic. Must visit place guys and on the royal main run. Good word team
This cruise was perfect. After dropping off goods at various bays along one side of the island we disembarked at Mansion House Bay at lunchtime. There was a cafe open for those who didn't order the BBQ lunch option onboard. For $10 Mansion House was open to wander around and imagine what life was like a couple of centuries ago. Some tracks were open to go walking along the cliffs for amazing views or through the native bush and pines - birdlife could be seen or heard including peacocks and wekas. The track to discover old relics of the copper mine was a relaxing walk, following the coastline along the cliff, down and around a bay when the tide was out, then back through the pines and bush. Afternoon tea back at the cafe, a dip in the bay to cool down, then back on the 4.30pm boat to Sandspit.
Lovely day out calling in to lots of the mainly privately owned jetties dropping people & frieght, so no trip will be the same. Dropped at Mansion House by 13.00. As the 16.30 ferry was running that meant i had plenty of time for lunch at the cafe & a walk to the copper mine. You could have got off at Mansion House on the first stop just before 12 if no 16.30 ferry running and you more time on land.
We had excellent weather and saw 2 pods of dolphins. Got to spend a decent amount of time at each spot and got some good photos. Just a shame we didn't see any whales but that's out of their control and we still had an amazing time.
There are great experience after two hour boat ride we saw a group of dolphins swim near our boat.. do some acrobatic action...
Really cool to see the different houses and get a glimpse of island life. It's a decent cruise, arriving at mansion house at around 1pm. We had the option to return at 2pm or 4:30pm, the latter gave us time to explore a bit and have a swim. Appreciate the captain's knowledge but would have been great to also hear precolonial and geological history of the island, native flora and fauna. Why it was fought over by Māori, why these minerals were found here exclusively, etc. Kawau was named after a bird that we saw many of around the coast but there was no mention of that at all Overall great experience on a perfect day, remember a hat and sunscreen!
Blessed with an amazing day on the water and time on Kawau Island So glad we went on the trip, better than our expectations. The beauty of the bays, the history of the House and the Copper mines. The wekas walking everywhere and even hearing Kiwi birds calling when we eating lunch. Informative crew A great day out
Enjoy every bit of it....So much fun worthy the price. And my son had a blast too he is 8 and he enjoys it so much
Great service consistent throughout, zipline was amazing the luge and the bungee.. great value for money awesome for school holidays! Thank you!! Really enjoyed our half day spent there.
Totally loved the Adventure Park, especially the vertical bungy! Woohoo what a rush. A great day out with lots of fun.
This is a great place to take older kids or teenagers. Our kids are 13 and 16 and loved it. Especially loved the luge and zip lining!

Great day out, kept my 3 kids from the age of 3-8 entertained.
The staff are amazing The scenery is to die for The free bus service is a bonus Everything was just perfect. Photos just dont do the place justice. Thanks for yesterday. Me and my family will definitely be back ???
Went here for my daughters 10th birthday on 28.08.22 we Had 15 kids & 7 adults who all throughly enjoyed themselves! There was something for everyone. The under 5’s had their own section they could play in they loved the airplane ride and the indoor playground. The older kids had the main rides which they all enjoyed the Luge and zipline they even enjoyed catching the shuttle bus up lol. The adults fav were the luge even my 67 year old dad came flying down thinking he was a rally car driver haha We had our own tables reserved and ordered some platters and pizzas which got demolished & Adults ordered burgers - very yummy kai!! Overall my daughter enjoyed her birthday everyone that attended had positive things to say and to ALL the staff that worked on that day we’re absolutely AWESOME!! So thank you ALL I would definitely recommend going there and grabbing this ultimate pass deal from book me & the luge passes as well saves a lot of $$$
It was an awesome experience. The attendants were amazing as well. Would have loved the zip line to be higher and longer, but it was still awesome.
Took my 13 yo daughter, 78 yo mother and my hubby here for a morning of fun. It was excellent value for money as we all got to race each other on the luge, zip line, bungee and check out a 7D movie. The staff were all well trained and very courteous. Highly recommend a visit.
Staff are friendly and helpful & rides are in good condition. Could have more staff on and have the flying fox and Bungy open simultaneously as there was approx 45 min wait for the flying fox. Would highly recommend a visit.
We had fan, great location for family bonding.
Excellent family adventure experience?
Had an awesome day out! We arrived about 10:45 kids playground was open and rest of the park opened at 11:00 am. We were greeted with a welcoming smile and a map for times and explination of what closes for short periods. Rain sprinkled but luckily rides dont close down. All staff were friendly, and carried out excellent saftey checks on gear before launching us vertically or horizontally into the air. Lucky for us no lines, but felt for the park as that meant not much business. Awesome mini bus that takes you up the hill for the rides but if you want some extra cardio on the legs you are able to walk up. Had a quick fix of the deep fryer for the food which filled a gap. Not much in the gluten free range on offer. Overall great day, great venue, great staff
When we arrived at Silverdale I did wonder if we had done the right thing. The zip wire was good and so was the reverse Bungay but the best was definatley the luge. We just went for a couple of hours and enjoyed the morning. The staff were lovely and would recommend this place. It’s a great place for kids. It’s a shame the Zip line wasn’t longer and that the second zip was not working. I would have loved to have beat my brother at something. We will be back but not in summer as I think the queues would be to long. Thanks again for a fun morning
Great fun for the family. Took 8 & 10 year old boys who were able to enjoy every ride. Slight wait times due to safety etc. I imagine these wait times would be frustrating during peak visits, luckily for us it was a slower day. Luge has the least amount of wait times & those move pretty fast. The boys enjoyed these the most. Star Bungy & Zipline we’re awesome thrills, the boys next favourites. Would definitely take the kids back.
