Good but expensive

Great place for kids. But $18 price for the adults who take them in is needlessly expensive. All the adults do is watch over the kids. It's a kids experience. $5 per adult would be more appropriate.

From Karangahake Gorge - Bullswool Farm Park Entry

We are an attraction that caters for all age groups, which happens be an excellent facility for children. However, we have lots of adults without children visit us, who enjoy the farm animals, beautiful setting, Native Bird reserve, and our museums. We also have lots of adults who bring their children, and choose to fully experience the farm themselves, and participate in all that is on offer, rather than just "watching over" them. Farm parks are labour intensive and expensive to run, and while you might regard our admission price "needlessly expensive", we couldn't possibly cover our operating costs if we only charged $5 per adult. We think we offer fantastic value for money. There are only a handful of visitor attractions in surrounding regions - Auckland, Waikato and Rotorua, where visitors can occupy themselves for 3+ hours. We are one of those few attactions, and to the best of our knowledge, we are the also the cheapest.

Great family experience

What an absolute gem this place is! Lots of super friendly animals to feed. Great selection of play areas for little kids. Lovely woodland walk and interesting farming artefacts on display. Nice picnic areas. Something for the whole family to enjoy.

An up close experience with some neat farm animals

An awesome place. Especially great for kids. I agree with the price for adults (as stated in another review here). But I think the deal through Bookme was really good. I would suggest bringing some comfortable footwear suitable for the farm park. We went in the winter and a member of our visiting crew had dress shoes on which wasn't a good idea. Also, I would say, have a look at any maps on site, or the Visitor's guide to make sure you don't miss anything. If we hadn't looked, we would've definitely missed a fair bit, including the nice donkies we saw at the end. (The donkies were braying happily when they saw us, and came over... “eeyore eeyore!". Very cool, haha.)
