We had originally booked a 1h15min flight over Milford Sound, but got rescheduled for a tour including one 30 minutes flight from Te Anau to Milford Sound (with landing) followed by a 45 min flight from Milford Sound over Doubtful Sound and back to Te Anau. That was even better than expected because we got to see almost half of the Fiordland! The weather was great and the pilot was giving instructive details about the sceneries along the way. Great experience and lovely staff.

We were lucky to be there at a quiet time for tourists, professional cruise, great commentary, nice staff, amazing views and the captain takes you right up under some water falls and to see the special locations. We saw some fur seals at seal rock very close up, just amazing, would do it again!

Long coach trip but very informative and well worth it.

This is a must do, I loved every minute of it skipper of the boat was so kind a lovely too. Everything was amazing

For an engineer like me I was amazed at the walkway construction inside the caves. I would have loved to have seen a video of its construction. And installation. What a job. The Glow worm description talk was so interesting Est (Est)and informative. We loved the trip on the way to the caves. A real highlight of our South Island tour.

If I could give this 6 stars I would! Such a beautiful activity from beginning to end. Megan and Adam were excellent hosts who made the trip so enjoyable. We even had canapés and drinks on the early morning cruise and I got to try driving the boat.

Very good hospitality. Good food, good view, nice walking track. I learn more about Te Anau from this tour. Fantastic 3 hr. If you have time u should do it.

My partner and I went on the Exploration Cruise and we couldn't have enjoyed it more! Everything is five stars: the hospitality, the food and drinks, the walk through the beautiful Fiordland National Park, and the overall experience. We really enjoyed all the short stops along the way to milford sounds And A couple stops on the way back. Milford sounds was amazing! Unforgettable experience. Lovely buffet. Yummy ribs, chops, chicken and Asian food, even ice cream. Your in for a long day, abit tiring on the way back but worth it in the end. Just have a early night the night before! We personally wouldn't pay full price but the special was worth it which was $99pp. Thanks Justin for your touring us you made it enjoyable ?

Awesome transport! Leather seats and very comfortable. we had such a small group too. Our driver was really nice and you could tell that he is passionate. We had plenty of stops and no rush really. The boat was small so it did feel that you are too close to the waterfalls - which was awesome! The commentator on the boat was great as well. It was an awesome experience!

We had a coach/cruise during summer and was great! But for this year,we booked on a winter time since my sister who came from overseas wanted to experience snow via Mildford. It was such a very good and exciting trip.From our coach bus driver Thank you but sorry I forgot your name you're champion! Till we board on the cruise with superb lunch and nice staff.

We were picked up from our accomodation by Justin our tour guide in a luxury comfortable van. Justin gave great commentary along the way, he was a real book of knowledge when we asked various things. Awesome to have a guide that really knows his stuff. We were blown away when Justin told us how many trips he had done into Milford. We can clearly see he is very passionate about his job as for the amount trips he has already done, his commentary was full of life and enjoyable. We had a few stops along the way, taking in sites that we probably wouldn't of done if we had gone in ourselves. Justin showed us some real hidden treasures that the kids enjoyed exploring. Milford Sound was wet but this created an even more beautiful experience. The endless waterfalls were admirable and we felt privledged to be able to witness so much beauty. The boat cruise was fabulous the experience of getting wet under a waterfall and hearing the laughter and smiles from my family and fellow passageners is unforgettable. The buffet lunch was amazing, a real treat to have so many yummy options to choose from and enjoy while cruising the water. We had a best experience, we highly recommend VIP Milford. Our daughter suffers terribly from travel sickness, so we were concerned about traveling in and out of Milford and were well prepared in case. I had told Justin about this upon being picked up and he made sure we were in the front so she could have a clear view of the road. Well we made it there and back with zero sickness first time ever! I put this down to Justins driving, we felt very safe on what can be such a dangerous road. Big thanks to Justin and the team at VIP Milford, a truly unforgettable experience indeed.

This is a small group tour and the pick up is at where you stayed. The driver and guide is knowledgeable and shared many information. The tour also brought you to some interesting walk along the journey. The buffet food was delicious, abundance of food, sauces. Highly recommended. We enjoyed the tour.

What an incredible day, from the moment our driver Mark picked us up from our accommodation till the moment we were dropped back home his friendliness, professionalism and local knowledge was a pleasure to be around. The small tour size allowed for many stops along the way to Milford Sounds, unloading and reloading was a breeeze and not once did we feel we had to wait for the prime spot to take photos or wait in lines to board like you would in a regular coach. Milford Sounds from the boat was incredible but much to our surprise the scenery on the journey there was the even more spectacular. After finishing our day with Milford VIP we knew we had received the best experience Milford Sounds has to offer, I would highly recommend them to everyone. You will not be disappointed!

Small group works for us just fine. We had great weather. Sacha was really nice and we had plenty of stops along the way. The buffet was nice, Cruise a little crowded... saw seals and dolphins too!

We all really enjoyed the Milford Sound experience. Our driver that picked us up for VIP was very nice and made commentary on the way there and back. Kate was our guide on the nature cruise and was very informative. I am glad we chose nature over scenic cruise. The picnic lunches were pretty good too. I would definitely do this again!

Our trip with VIP Milford Sound during mid January was absolutely sublime. Our coach driver was friendly and informative and the places he stopped at, both to and from Milford Sound, were stunning! The cruise was brilliant and the food superb. I’d highly recommend this company for your adventure.

Wonderful day tour. Comfortable coach arrived on time with our driver Reece who was full of knowledge of the area. He paced the journey beautifully and knew all the photo stops. The cruise through Milford was more than I expected - would love to do it again, saw waterfalls, bottle nose dolphins, fur skin seals and mutton birds. To travel to the Tasman sea down the Fiord. I would rate it 10/5 for the entire trip if I could!

The driver picked us up from accommodation. We drove 2,5 hours to Milford Sound with a very informative commentary and a lot of stops along the way, to take stunning pictures and to get closer to the nature! The cruise ship was from real journey with a nice lunch buffet with many options.(yes it's very Asian oriented, but still delicious!) On both ways we made a stop to use bathroom facilities. girls no worries ;) The best thing about leaving Te Anau early is that all the tourist buses are not in Milford sound yet. It's still quiet with a nice VIP feeling. Thanks for this day!

I am really grateful that the tour was set up even there was only 2 guests on the van. That was a beautiful sunny day when we were in Milford Sound, so lucky. The sceneries with waterfalls, mountains, creeks, and the snow left me a deep impression, so as the excellent introduction and guidance given by our tour guide Justine. The cruise started early enough so there was not crowded at all in the ship. Strongly recommended. Thank you!

Even though it rained all day so our views were a little limited, it was a wonderful day out with great commentary and sight seeing. The picnic lunch was great also. Highly recommended.

So happy we booked a tour with a smaller luxury coach and to depart from Te Anau than Queenstown. Our guide Liv was so friendly and knowledgeable, we loved all the short walks/photo stops, Milford Sound itself was incredible! Absolutely amazing. Photos really don't do it justice.. The buffet on the boat is delicious and more than enough food. We had such a great day, couldn't recommended VIP Milford enough. Would 100% do it again.
