Amazing experience! Outstanding flying and customer service by our pilot Jason.
Good driver
Milford Sound is such a beautiful place, with awe-inspiring, other worldly scenery. I could just imagine dinosaurs or dragons suddenly appearing out of the mist.
What a great company! Service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful driver Johnny. Superb boat ride and lunch was yummy. A fab day out with JUCY would recommend 100 per cent. And we got sunshine! Thanks everyone involved it was memorable.
Long day but really enjoyed the experience. Bus driver was good and everything ran on time. Natural beauty was amazing.
The tour was nothing short of AMAZING! Our guide Jeff was spectacular and was very knowledgeable of the area! Milford Sounds is surreal and left my husband and me absolutely speechless! I highly recommend people do this instead of driving themselves. You learn so much about the area and history!!
Captain of the boat is very observant , sighted penguins in the bushes and we had no chance to do that . We were perplexed with sights , and beauty of Milford. Thank you team
Awesome trip! Our driver cowboy was very amoosing! Bus ride was smooth and despite the weather on the cruise it was wicked. Great scenary.
Fantastic commentary on the bus, plenty of stops to stretch legs and take photos. Unfortunately we had pretty bad weather so hid inside the boat for most of the time. But the boat was great, food and beverages were top notch (good options incl. healthy food and not overpriced). Would not hesitate to book with Go Orange again.
Was extremely happy? it was a fantastic day so happy I went
Was a great trip- Jono was awesome, full of local knowledge.
Thank you Jucy Cruise for Good service.
Long coach trip but very informative and well worth it.
Small group works for us just fine. We had great weather. Sacha was really nice and we had plenty of stops along the way. The buffet was nice, Cruise a little crowded... saw seals and dolphins too!
Amazing. Milford is beautiful but scenery along the way is even better. Bus driver is rich in knowledge and humer. sorry dont remenber her name
This is an excellent experience thought iris my 2nd times to milford sound after about 20 years. The coach was nice with glass top and the driver Russel provide commentary on the different aspect of NZ during the trip. There are a few short stops for viewing between Te Anau and milford sound, however, it was raining the entire day. The experience was interesting as raining you can see many waterfalls as compared to sunny day. The wind was strong and the boat get close to the waterfalls for a wet experience. Underwater observatory was good, however, due to rain, the water was not clear at 10m below surface. While we still see many fishes, etc, it properly will be better with clearer water when no orless rain. Overall a good experience and enjoyable trip thought long travel time.
I recommend availing the coach tour rather than driving going to milford sound. Our bus driver/tour guide named Craig was very nice, intelligent and had lots of funny stories to share. Definitely worth the money. Lunch inside the cruise was also affordable.
I can not recommend this experience enough. It was absolutely awesome. We were on the bus ‘AWESOME’ and Paul the driver was so entertaining giving us a lot of history and interesting detail about the native birds, environment, area and all given in a way that was definitely not not boring
We had a great day from Queenstown to Milford Sounds yesterday the bus driver knew her stuff and the buffet was yummy. Unfortunately the boat had a machanical issue but the crew were quick to react and get us aboard another boat to we still got to take in whe whole Milford sound experience.
Our driver Johnny was easy to converse with. I sat up front & enjoyed the views during our drive to Milford Sound & back. There were only five of us, plus Johnny, so it was easy getting on/off during our various photo stops. Enjoyed the Cruise I went on with Real Journeys. It rained just a bit, but enough to bring out a few additional falls during the two hours we were out. I had been doing a lot of driving around NZ in the days preceding, so was happy to book a tour that included transport from Te Anau. :)
What an incredible day, from the moment our driver Mark picked us up from our accommodation till the moment we were dropped back home his friendliness, professionalism and local knowledge was a pleasure to be around. The small tour size allowed for many stops along the way to Milford Sounds, unloading and reloading was a breeeze and not once did we feel we had to wait for the prime spot to take photos or wait in lines to board like you would in a regular coach. Milford Sounds from the boat was incredible but much to our surprise the scenery on the journey there was the even more spectacular. After finishing our day with Milford VIP we knew we had received the best experience Milford Sounds has to offer, I would highly recommend them to everyone. You will not be disappointed!
Good experience, well worth the money
Highly recommend to everyone although there may be a chance tour can be cancelled due to road closure in winter season. Our driver, Sam, kept us entertained with his commentary during the tour. We had a fantastic time, with a few stops along the way for photo opportunity.
Perfect flight with very experienced friendly and knowledgeable pilot. I couldn’t fault him even though he is an Ozzie.
I traveled with a person in a wheelchair and I found the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful. The trip itself was an amazing spectacle. 110% worth the money, this has been the highlight of my trip to Queenstown so far.
Good
Excellent guides, lots of new information and the tasting of 2 eatible plants.
Had an amazing time. It’s the best way to see and explore Milford Sound. It’s fun, personable and a great work out. All gear supplied (wetsuit, thermals, etc). Our guide was fantastic as well. Definitely worth doing if you’re going to Milford Sound.
We had great weather--not a cloud in the sky--and our guide Tobias was wonderful. We kayaked around 15km over 4 hours and enjoyed the peaceful beauty of Milford Sound. All gear is provided, just make sure to take insect repellent and a bag lunch/snacks.
Certainly a must while you in New Zealand. I am a local but still fascinated from the beautiful world we are surrounded and we should appreciate every minute of it. Truesouthflights made this day magical for us. Keep up the good adventures Toddy & Peg
Unique place, photos don’t give justice of how beautiful it is, definitely a must do. The cruise is very comfortable, very friendly and helpful staff and nice fish and chips for lunch
for $20 this was amazing
The scenery is simply amazing, the mountains, the ocean, the waterfalls, and the forest are all breathtaking. No matter what the weather is, rain, snow, or sunny it is always a wonderful trip when you visit Milford Sound. Mitre Peak cruises were a great company to go with. Small boats which meant less people, inside viewing and outside along with the friendly commentary and helpful service made this trip extra special.
Lovely crew, plenty of seating inside and standing area outside (some benches as well). The bacon sandwich is nicer than the photo in the brochure makes you think, although more a snack than a full breakfast but still tasty. Veggie option was tomato and cheese. We saw a lot of dolphins, the skipper turned around so that we could see better, before continuing with the cruise. Very good value for money in my opinion. The beautiful area helps of course, but we had a great morning and would recommend this trip
It was great and we loved the site.
When i came to New Zealand for the first time 7 years ago, i didn't know it was possible to do a day walk in the Milford Track. Unfortunately you have to book in advance (like one year before) if you want to do the whole track, and because of covid i wasn't sure that i could be able to do it. The best option was to do a day walk. After the booking, I received an email from the staff asking me when i wanted to start and when they can pick me up. I started at 8.30 am and i took the water taxi at 1 pm. So they give you plenty of time if you want to walk a little bit further than the Falls. the last boat is at 4.30 pm. I recommend totally !
The cruise was brilliant! The boat was amazing, not a bad seat on it. The staff were friendly and really informative too. Would definitely recommend booking with these guys
This was a fantastic cruise, what an overload of scenery and views. The boat's crew were great, very knowledgeable with a humorous twist occasionally. Going under the waterfalls was an interesting experience, a particularly wet one for the crew member who went under the fall to collect glasses of water for passengers to sample! Parking at the Sound was easy (campervan) & free, the whole cruise was organised so efficiently we couldn't fault it. The drive from Te Anue was easy and several viewing stops. A really well worthwhile trip to make especially with the Bookme discount. We also went on a Doubtful Sound trip and both my wife & I enjoyed Milford Sound more although both are great experiences in their own way.
Absolutely outstanding views and a fantastic staff, they made it so much fun and gave great bits of info! Thank you so much for a great time! ♥️
Just the right conditions to see lots of waterfalls as it had rained for two days before the cruise. Mist lifted with the sunrise. Beautiful and breathtaking views.
everything was awesome!
It was a rainy day but that meant lots of waterfalls. The boat and crew were lovely. Great commentary with a sense of humour. Highly recommended
Amazing landscape! Snow mountain, blue ocean, touchable waterfalls, cute penguins, lazy seals, wandering dolphin family, together friendly staff and clean tidy boat. In brief, unforgettable!
We loved Damien and tom etc, the cruise was great, not much wild life, but that's the sounds for you. We did the 9.30am and only 15 on board. We travelled the same areas as real journeys that we went on the next day but with 500 Chinese at 11am. Real journeys goes a lot faster, so cruise went faster than the nature cruise. Would recommend it over the bigger boats. You don't get the coach loads of people on board.
