First impressions that last... greeted at the service counter with a great smile with full explanation about the cruise, the fish & chips served onboard was yummy and the explanation given by the crews onboard was informative

I really enjoyed the viewing deck, it had plenty of space and was able to sip some great beers while enjoying the commentary and views. Food was great and service was excellent.

Will Milford sound makes me feel awe since I have seen the grandeur of fiord in Norway? Before the trip, I was wondering if it is worth the distance to visit. Now I can say it is a different experience and it is all worthwhile. Thanks to the dolphin and fur seals!

Awesome experience. We went super close to waterfalls and even saw dolphins. Recommend going just after it has rained. Great company to go with too!

Long day but really enjoyed the experience. Bus driver was good and everything ran on time. Natural beauty was amazing.

Had a wonderful time with the Go Orange crew. Very polite and helpful. Good food on board. We drove from Queenstown to Milford, but I would recommend taking the coach service. Highly recommended when in Queenstown. Try and book it post a couple of rainy days, you'll see a lot of waterfalls.

Although we did not experience the other cruises, the Jucy was a little cheaper and followed the same route as most of the other trip boats so therefore we as good value. The crew were friendly and informative. Only critism would be only tea was free, if you wanted coffee then put your hand in your pocket and the sound system was a bit poorvand tinny...they need some decent speakers.

Southern discoveries to Milford was a great company to tour with. From the helpful phone conversation as to where we could be collected to the very informative and a helpful bus driver. The coach was very comfortable and the stops along the way for coffee and points of interest were well spaced and with adequate time allowed to enjoy all. The boat trip on the Sound was great , staff very helpful and the food was delicious.

Milford Sound is a geographical marvel with amazing, jaw-dropping sights. Well worth a visit. Mitre Peaks makes the whole experience even better. The boat was small enough to accommodate better up-close experiences, and the skipper was friendly and enthusiastic. He cheekily brought us all the way into one of the waterfalls and skillfully maneuvered the boat 360° near a rock with fur seals on it, so everybody gets a great view! Definitely recommending this for anybody visiting New Zealand’s South Island

The experience on the Go Orange Milford cruise was a highlight of our holiday the skipper and the crew were so humble to us. They were very warming and made it a trip to remember. So we say a big thankyou to you all.

Things well organized The captain is funny We came in with a bad weather, but the captain has made us feel welcome and an interesting day. Remember to bring raincoat, u will get wet!

Brad was ana amazing tour guide and driver, felt safe and we were given very reliable and enlightening information about NZ, queenstown and its people. It was an adventure i will definitely will never forget.

Altitude tours and Mitre peak cruise was amazing! The van is very comy with wifi and charger! They also have a sun roof and big windows so we were able to enjoy the view to the fullest. Our driver was great and approachable! The cruise was so fun! And you get to enjoy the falls as it's a small boat so it was not crowded family enjoyed the whole trip! Ps bring extra clothes!:)

Fantastic commentary on the bus, plenty of stops to stretch legs and take photos. Unfortunately we had pretty bad weather so hid inside the boat for most of the time. But the boat was great, food and beverages were top notch (good options incl. healthy food and not overpriced). Would not hesitate to book with Go Orange again.

Awesome trip today with an amazing driver "Cowboy" good humour, corny jokes and a wealth of info. Lots of photo ops, refreshment stops and great scenery. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience. Worth every minute of the 5 hr drive from Queenstown.

It was the most amazing day. The flight and scenery was incredible our pilot Elliott was amazing pointing out mountain areas and names, flying close just amazing. Our cruise was great, what a lovely country we live in. I would definitely put this on your 'to do' list.

It was definitely good idea to watch the beauty of the fiords from the boat. The cruise was smooth and crew extremely friendly. Thank you.

Southern discovers are always great, we booked via Bookme and got a good deal. The drive in the instructions says to allow 5.5 hours but it only took us about 4 hours from Queenstown with a couple short stops. The trip itself was cool, we got to go under a waterfall and the commentary was good. Only thing I can fault is that they didn’t try the seating off after the previous trip so we had to ask for them to dry a seat off. Make sure to take fly spray as the info centre sells it’s for $20. This isn’t anything to do with southern discoveries though and no bugs on the boat itself. Just in the car park. And keep in mind parking is $10 per hour or if you pay on the machine in the terminal it’s $30 for overnight parking. We did not see this until in the terminal. Make sure to take warm clothes and something dry for after if you like to sit outside. Will be back again :)

The best experience of Milford sound is with Mitre peak cruises. Been on another cruise before but this was really different and you get to experience the water falls as they take you closer to the falls than any other cruises out there.

So pleased we didn’t drive as the bus we were in had glass ceiling so the views were amazing our driver Shey was enthusiastic with some great stories about the area, the boat trip around the Fiord was great some beautiful water falls and scenery and again the information about the area was very interesting. I would like to comment about the price as a lot of these type of trips for New Zealanders should have a local rate as there are so many things to see in our own back yard that we just can’t afford.

What an awesome experience we had with the cruise. A big shout out to the captain who was AMAZING and had such a great sense of humour. Very friendly staff. An experience which we would remember it forever! Great lunch bags as well and an outstanding observatory experience. So calm and serene! Thank you so much for such an awesome experience. Such a beautiful and amazing experience and we were lucky enough to see some dolphins too.

If weather is clear it will take your breath away. We were lucky enough to experience this cruise during clear & calm weather. Choose your timing wisely because cloud cover or wind will totally change this experience. That said, the drive to the bay was well worth the entire trip alone. The mountains and landscape is beautiful!

Although the view of the mountains was bad because of the rain, we got to see much more waterfalls. Wherever you looked there were waterfalls. Amazing. The size of this particular boat was smaller than you might expect, which was perfect. Not too many people (around 50). It was a very comfortable cruise, nice soft seats, coffee and thea as much as you like, easy to walk around, big windows and enough place outside to take your pictures. Also nice that it stopped about 3 times almost under a fall.

not crowded, got free food, & offer same service with cheaper price. its good..though its a sunny day, so we cant see the hundred cascading waterfall

It was a cloudy morning to begin the journey with but as we drove along the scenic road, with Jamie as our funny and talented bus driver, the sky turned lovely. Decent stops in between drives to admire the local beauties; mirror lake, alpaca farm, etc. I was in awed with the majestic of Milford Sound...Friday totally well spent, PTL.

Dave our driver/guide for the journey to Milford Sound was fantastic. Plenty of opportunities to stop for photos on the way to and from Milford Sound to capture the stunning beauty of this area. The cruise was wonderful, enjoyed the buffet lunch and the natural beauty of the area. This is a must do experience and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with VIP Milford.

We had an amazing time. We parked on the free parking, walked about 30min to reach the cruise terminal. Boarding started at 10.30am sharp and we left at 11am as planned. We had a beautiful sunny day. We went in may, the boat was probably not at full capacity but it was perfect, didn’t feel crowded. Everyone could get a great spot from the roof. Free coffee machine. The captain was amazing, he spoke about the Milford sound and the Milford village which was very interesting. The whole team was honestly amazing. They were available to take picture anytime. Definitely recommend this tour with pure Milford. Would love to do it again on a rainy day.

Went for the 9.30am cruise, which meant an early start from Te Anau but worth it as the boat wasn’t crowded, and we for both a still, misty morning with peaks sticking out of the clouds, then they were slowly revealed as the sun melted the clouds away. Simple and easy boarding and good commentary.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We got up really close to the waterfalls which added to the experience!! Would definitely recommend!!
