This was an absolutely incredible experience the receptionist was very friendly and the pilot was very informative and friendly! The views were incredible, we got engaged on the glacier landing ? the pilot was so happy for us and took our pictures which turned out perfect! Well worth the money for this fantastic experience!

My partner & I had the most amazing experience on the scenic flight. The crew were extremely knowledgeable & made the whole trip extremely pleasurable, coupled with the fact they are local to the Glacier made a real difference on there genuine passion for the area. Highly recommend taking the trip it really is a wonderful memorable experience we will never forget.

I rescheduled my flight super easy via phone. Couldn't happen on the arranged day due bad weather. Got new one for the next morning. And it happened. Our pilot was great and gave us super background information. I had the front seat which was great. Was my first ever helicopter flight, but surely not the last one. Highly recommend the trip. The landing on the Glacier was unreal. Absolut perfect day.

A great time to be hold especially if you get their back stage pass. Will worth the money as it goes to the Kiwi & Tuatara. Once you done the back stage part it easy to spend plenty off time with the rest of the activities . Spend about 1/2 hour trying to see the kiwis, but they are there you just need to be patient and stands still to find them.

A lovely museum with lots to read! Still interactive enough to keep our 2 year old interested. Also had lunch at the cafe which was great.

So glad we paid extra for the backstage pass as I'd only have learnt about 10% if I'd just done the normal entry. We arrived early so had time to see the 2 live kiwi before doing the tour. The tour took about 45 mins and whilst the didn't have any kiwi eggs for us to look at we did get a really clear explanation of their life and trials. We then went back to see the kiwi again (it's a 48 hour pass you get). Brilliant An unexpected bonus was seeing the Tuatara and the glacier exhibit Highly recommended

A well set up display and very informative of the work with kiwi as well as the geology of glaciers. Friendly, helpful staff. The cafe makes an excellent coffee (and this is where we went to get a "coffee to go" rather than the larger cafe on the corner next door).

All the staff were fantastic to deal with, had to move the time as my helicopter flight was changed due to weather but it was no issue and they were happy to accommodate. Learnt a lot from the tour and the guide was a very knowledgeable, lovely lady. Definitely worth the price.

We were unsure whether this VIP tour would be worth the extra money when there were no chicks to view, but our ranger Devon certainly proved us wrong. We learnt an absolute ton of information about kiwi birds and everything they do at the Centre. Was also great to see and learn about the Tuataras. Devon was super knowledgable and friendly. Seeing the kiwis in the nocturnal viewing area was just so special. Loved quietly watching them rustling around for food or running around in their areas. This place is doing such great work for wildlife and I’d recommend supporting their work by visiting.

Pilot, Jay, was amazing and knowledgeable. Was out of this world experience. Everything about this company is 5 stars. Couldn't fault them. Best experience. A must do and definitely recommend this company to do it with.

Penny is an amazing pilot and tour guide. Entire outfit is so well run. Absolutely a great experience. Loved seeing the Southern Alps & glaciers from above. Penny shared so much info about all we could see. Lucked out with perfect weather. So surprised how warm it was up on the glacier. Shared ride with 4 others, everyone was very satisfied (6 total in the heli) Worth every penny. Just book it!

C’était vraiment génial. Le personnel est super gentil, on a pu avoir les explications de sécurité en français. Le glacier est vraiment magnifique, c’est une expérience inoubliable ! Le temps passé sur le glacier est trop court, ça passe trop vite. Mais je recommande vivement !

Awesome experience and very worthwhile. It was the highlight of the West Coast road trip for both families that flew. Service and communication from Glacier Country Heli was excellent. We booked this flight for my husband's birthday on 8 January 2023. All of the staff at Glacier Country Helicopters were exceptional and safety standards were very high. We liked the fact that it was a family owned business. Never having been on a helicopter flight before we were all a little nervous but very excited. Weather was amazing so we were very lucky. It was an amazing experience flying in a small aircraft to these huge natural wonders and to land on it was just unbelievable. Only negative was the short amount of time we had to spend up there because once we got there it was a surreal experience. You have to do this flight regardless of the cost as it really is a once in a lifetime experience. It was great to get the discounted rate through bookme.com so we could then budget for other wonderful experiences.

Absolutely brilliant experience! Weather was closing in fast so the pilot had to make an alternative plan for us, but we flew over the rainforest and up to land on Shackleton Glacier, then flew on over Franz Josef. Awe inspiring sight! One off the bucket list, would highly recommend. Worth every penny!

Booked for the 25 min and got upgraded free of charge to a 60 min one. Our pilot was friendly and knowledgeable and the views were incredible

The most amazing experience and a must do if you come to Franz Josef. Really can’t see the glacier much from the ground unless you do a 6hr hike. This flies over the top and then lands on the snow- it was absolutely incredible. A really experienced pilot and amazing ground crew. Can’t recommend this enough. Be aware that this activity Is weather dependent so book it early in your stay. The office were great in keeping us informed and rescheduling when it was too cloudy to fly. We were so fortunate to fly on a perfect day - Thankyou so much.

Spellbinding flight over the glacier and onto the mountains - highly recommended.

We had a great time, 35 min were perfect to see Franz Josef, Fox Glacier, Mt Tasman and even Mt Cook! The snow landing was really cool, we had enough time to take some pictures and enjoy the snow :) Highly recommend!

Worth every $. Lovely family run operator. This is a great experience flying up over the glacier and having 5 minutes stop on a level snow covered area before returning to base. Would thoroughly recommend.
