I had a wonderful morning in the Waiatoto River. The jet boat ride was relaxing and we got some really interessanting information about the area. The short bush walk has been really good for stretching.

I enjoyed a wonderful afteroon on this boat tour. The landscape was breathtaking (especially in the weather). It was unique to other tours have done in the past. It might not be, the longes trip you take, but its just right. Experience some rain forest by boat and hear some of the local storys about the area.

The day was well organized and we had a great guide Elaine was some great sense of humor and lot of local stories. We travelled in a well mainted bus and saw good amout of wildlife. I really enjoy the day on farwell spit. The only small disadvantage in main season travelling is, that it was not quiet lonely, but four busses have been with us on the trip. Even with many people up the pile of sand it was a great day.

If you only here for one day it is the perfect option to get a glimps of the nature and what the np has to offer. In case you are really interessted in the local stories sitting inside might be required, as it is difficult to understand whats spoken on the upper deck (like on many boat tours). I made a tour including a bit of walking and they made sure all people are off at the right place.
